I recently saw your works in San Francisco at the Palace of the Legion of Honor. I took a friend and two teen age girls to see Marylin Manson on his Lest We Forget tour and then to your awesome exhibit the next day. To see your work in person is a must. It is chilling. The girls totally loved it and I have sucessfully corrupted yet three more unsuspecting innocents. One of the girls had never been to a museum, and has had a very hard and disturbing life. She is a budding artist herself, and she was awestruck. She identified with the art, it was her. I had to drag her from the museum. She is possibly going to get to go on student exchange program to Demark or Hungary this year which would be her first time out of the country. This trip will change her life. Do you ever meet children to discuss your art and your concepts? Is there a way she could come to see you at work? I will at least give her directions to your museum or exhibits in Europe. Your art is changing healing people. Thank you.

i just happened upon this site while looking for some artists to inspire me throught my work in art college. it is amazing to see the talent that is out there and i remain gob-smacked by the thought, talent and skill that goes into this work. It really has made me want to be the best artist i can be and hope to one day have an ounce of this mans talent. he has captured my interest so much that i have decided to do my thesis on him. should be exciting, if anyone can recommend any more good sites, books etc i would be more than glad xxx

Frighteningly realstic and disturbingly astonishing. Helnwein may be the greatest inspiration in my short life. I hope that one day my work and I shall be recognised, yet I do not expect equal greatness to Helnwein! Hopefully, the inspiration I gain from this site alone will help me get those beautiful A's I am working for.
The way he has encorporated cartoons into vague scenes and has captured human emotion more clearly than I can even express creates a mood not a lot of people can understand. It's truely amazing how perfect his artwork seems, so acurate. Even the cartoons seem alive!
Wounded children is a terribly degrading and depressing subject, and hasn't he captured it well. When you look at a piece of art like that, it is hard to imagine that being on anyones wall, and so you wonder what is the point to all this 'ugly' art? Well, I don't know for sure, but I understand that no art is 'ugly'; it is simply artwork emphasising the things many people turn a blind eye to, because they fear it. No one likes to see innocence destroyed, but we must appreciate the fact that it is happening everywhere today. Helnwein has shocked me, yet helped me realise that even ugly things are beautiful.
All we need is a good bucketful of ice-cold water to awaken us to the truth. Visual phenomenons; this is my water.

İzmir Urla'da kimsesiz çocukların barındığı Barbaros Çocuk Köyü tecavüz ve cinsel taciz iddialarıyla sarsıldı. Jandarmanın yaptığı operasyonda müdürün oğlunun da aralarında bulunduğu 12 zanlı gözaltına alındı.

Skandalı soruşturan Savcı Gök, "Olay sanıldığından vahim. Gözaltı sayısı artabilir" dedi. Vali Göksu ise iddialarla ilgili iki müfettiş görevlendirdiğini söyledi. Zanlılar bugün adliyeye sevk edilecek.

Yaşları 14 ile 17 arasında değişen ve çoğunluğu kız olan mağdurların ifadelerini alan Urla Cumhuriyet Savcısı Murat Gök, olayın sanıldığından daha vahim olduğunu belirterek, gözaltına alınanların sayısının artabileceğini söyledi. Gök, "Çocuklar durumu Müdür Erdal Tunca'ya bildirmiş ama bu ciddiye alınmamış" dedi. İzmir Valisi Yusuf Ziya Göksu ise, olayla ilgili iki müfettişin görevlendirildiğini ifade etti. Skandal, 1.5 ay önce Uzunkuyu Jandarma Karakolu'na gelen ihbar telefonuyla ortaya çıktı. Jandarma ekipleri, savcının talimatıyla Barbaros Çocuk Köyü'ne operasyon düzenledi. Köyde yaşayan 14-17 yaşarasındaki çoğunluğu kız 16 çocuğun ifadesi alındı. Çocuklardan 12'sinin cinsel taciz ve tecavüz mağduru olduğu öğrenildi. Çocukların ve okul görevlilerinin ifadeleri doğrultusunda operasyonu genişleten jandarma, köyde eğitmen ve teknisyen olarak çalışan bazı kişilerle Köy Müdürü'nün oğlu Rasim Tunca'yı (21), Belediye Meclis Üyesi Günay Öz'ün oğlu Yiğit Öz'ü (20) ve köyde kalan 17 yaşlarındaki G.A., U.B., K.G. ve G.A.'yı gözaltına aldı.
ÜÇ GÖREVLİ SERBEST
"Cinsel taciz ve tecavüze yeltenmekle" suçlanan sanıklar bugün adliyeye sevk edilecek. Çocuk Köyü Müdürü Erdal Tunca, Sosyal Hizmetler Uzmanı Olcay Özduran ve Dr. Abdürrahim Güçlü hakkında ise olayları bilmelerine rağmen yetkili mercilere bildirmedikleri iddiasıyla soruşturma açıldı. Savcılığa sevk edilen üç görevli serbest bırakıldı.

Soruşturmayı sürdüren Savcı Murat Gök, tutuklanan Köy Müdürü Erdal Tunce’nin serbest bırakılan oğlu Rasim Tunce hakkında bir üst mahkemeye itirazda bulunduğunu belirtirken, olayda kusuru ve ihmali bulunan ve aralarında köyde çalışan memurların da bulunduğu 20 kişinin daha gözaltına alındığını söyledi.
GÖZALTINA ALINAN 23 KİŞİ ADLİYEYE SEVK EDİLDİ
Urla Barbaros Çocuk Köyü'ndeki “cinsel taciz ve ilişkiye girme”iddiaları üzerine Urla Cumhuriyet Savcılığı tarafından gözaltına alınan 23 kişi adliyeye sevk edildi.
Olayla ilgili soruşturmayı sürdüren Urla Cumhuriyet Savcısı Murat Gök'ün talimatı üzerine olaya karıştıkları ve olayda ihmalleri olduğu gerekçesiyle gözaltına alınan 23 kişi adliyeye getirildi.
19'u görevlilerden ve köyde yaşayan çocuklardan oluşan zanlılar, geniş güvenlik önlemleri altında adliyeye alındı. Savcı Gök, aralarında kadın eğitmenlerin de yer aldığı zanlıların ifadesini almaya başladı.

- Le castrat -
Avec sa voix d'ange, il troublait hommes et femmes. Créature énigmatique au charme androgyne, le castrat était entouré de prétendantes toutes plus belles les unes que les autres. Une seule avait retenu son attention cependant, pour qui il éprouvait les mêmes feux. Amputé de sa partie profonde, il n'en aimait que plus passionnément cette femme : l'organe vital qu'il sentait battre dans sa poitrine était entier, lui. N'était-ce pas l'essentiel ?
Cet amour exempt de corruptions charnelles l'enivrait et le chagrinait tout à la fois. L'amante quant à elle était éprise de chasteté, de beauté, d'idéal, éprise de cet eunuque à la voix d'oiseau qui incarnait ses plus chères aspirations amoureuses... Leur hyménée asexué était beau et tragique, pitoyable et sublime. Le sopraniste avait remplacé son mâle argument par un céleste substitut, consolateur et exquisément éthéréen. Sa voix de flûte valait la plus flatteuse des virilités, au moins auprès de la gent raffinée.
Émotions supérieures, pureté du coeur, élévation des sentiments liaient les amants dans leur ascension amoureuse. Leur union chaste était une oeuvre d'art dédiée à la Musique, à la Beauté, à la Poésie. Envié, admiré, jalousé de tous, le couple passait des nuits exaltées et brillantes où l'Art présidait à leurs émois esthètes et vertueux.
L'amant à la voix séraphique souffrait toutefois de ne posséder que son attribut vocal pour toute séduction. Ornement suprême à la portée des initiés et des intrigantes parmi les plus belles lui conférant gloire et prestige certes, mais signature irréparable de sa mâle déchéance. Le sacrifice était beau... Et cruel. N'était-ce pas ce qui en faisait le prix ?
Hôte des princes, statue vivante affranchie des pesanteurs de ce monde, le demi-homme était traité comme un demi-dieu. Las ! Le baume de la renommée ne parvenait pas à l'apaiser.
Conscient de ses hauteurs comme de ses limites, l'asexué aspirait à des ivresses qui eussent pu contenter les féminines ardeurs, des plus nobles aux plus triviales, des plus légères aux plus profondes. Il se languissait de ne pouvoir se ranger sous les lois naturelles de l'amour. Alors que tous louaient sa particularité vocale et que, porté par la grâce, il échappait au commun, sa condition quasi angélique lui était devenue odieuse. A l'abri des misères de la chair, il n'en n'était pas moins privé de ses éclats.
S'épanchant vers l'élue, celle-ci ne pouvait que recueillir ses larmes d'orphelin, émue par ce jeune chêne à qui l'on avait ôté la sève. Privé de sa virilité, l'éploré était bouleversant dans les bras de la belle : doucement, tout doucement il sanglotait, sanglotait avec sa voix d'enfant dans le giron de l'aimée...
Et c'est là, inconsolable et pathétique, que le chant du roseau devenait le plus beau.
